Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated August 2026

This policy sets out what traffic may be sent over the network operated by PATCHCABLES LIMITED, trading as TELORA. It forms part of our Terms of Service and exists to protect our customers, our interconnect partners and the people who receive calls.

Prohibited traffic

Traffic that is fraudulent, artificially generated to inflate revenue, or designed to test or exploit interconnect billing.

Calls intended to deceive the recipient about the identity of the caller, including spoofed caller identification used to impersonate another person or organisation.

Traffic that harasses recipients, including repeated unsolicited calls to the same number, and traffic used to distribute unlawful or abusive content.

Consent and marketing

Outbound campaigns must comply with the marketing and telemarketing rules of the destination country, including consent, calling hours, do-not-call and preference registers, abandoned-call limits and disclosure requirements.

For UK traffic this includes the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the Telephone Preference Service; equivalent national rules apply elsewhere.

Caller identification

Presented numbers must be numbers you are entitled to use and must be reachable where the destination country requires it. TELORA may reject or rewrite caller identification where it breaches carrier requirements or national rules.

Emergency calling

Where a number or service is not enabled for emergency calling, you must inform your end users clearly. Registered addresses associated with numbers must be kept accurate where the destination country requires it.

Security

You must secure your SIP endpoints and API keys, restrict them to known source addresses where possible, and rotate credentials after any suspected compromise. Compromised credentials are a common source of fraudulent traffic, and the account holder remains responsible for charges incurred.

Enforcement

We monitor for patterns associated with fraud and abuse. Traffic in breach of this policy may be blocked, rate limited or suspended, and repeated or severe breaches may lead to termination under our Terms of Service.

Reports of abuse originating from our network can be sent to info@telora.cc with call examples, timestamps and the numbers involved.
